Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- comply with background check
- pass drug screen when applicable
- comply with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
- ability to lift and carry office equipment
- ability to sit, walk, stand, talk and listen
- close vision to read small print on computer, tablet and paperwork
- ability to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum of 65 pounds)
- ability to contact patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- ability to drive a company vehicle for majority of the workday
- comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation and fit testing compliance, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face to ensure mask seal protection per OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- experience with medical equipment, preferred
- one year of related work experience, preferred
- medical terminology, preferred
- accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- effectively communicate in English, both oral and written
- interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
- maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- multi-task with attention to detail
- self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
- work independently and as part of a team
- proficiency with email transmission and communication
- internet navigation and research
- Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- operation of office equipment including fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer or tablet
- mechanically inclined for the repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- successfully demonstrate loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures for transported cargo
- understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Available for on-call assignments as needed
- drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes
- educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- perform other duties as assigned
