Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing a minimum of 65 pounds
- Willingness to submit to background investigation
- Drug screen when applicable
- Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and follow loading and tie down procedures
- Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face per OSHA guidelines
- Physical capability to perform job-related activities such as sitting, walking, standing, talking, and listening
- Close vision to read small print on computer/tablet and paperwork
- Ability to handle exposure to contagious pathogens
- Ability to manage email transmission, internet navigation, and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to interpret verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual communications
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Demonstrated self-motivation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
