Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- Background investigation
- Drug screen when applicable for the position
- Ability to lift minimum of 65 pounds and transport patient equipment
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen throughout the workday
- Ability to read small print on computer, tablet, and paperwork
- Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face for mask seal
- Ability to safely drive company vehicle for the majority of the workday
- Ability to manage contact with patients and equipment with possible exposure to contagious pathogens
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment, preferred
- One year of related work experience, preferred
- Medical terminology, preferred
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effective communication skills in English both oral and written
- Ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized, and good time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with email communication, internet navigation, and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to operate office equipment including fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, computers, and tablets
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of loading, unloading, and proper tie-down procedures for transported cargo
- Understanding of applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
