Job Requirements
- Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement

- two years of prior commercial truck driving experience preferred
Job Duties
- Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order
- report any safety issues on standard reports
- safely operate heavy commercial truck along designated routes to disposal sites
- read route sheets and follow maps to service each customer
- operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material
- courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely, professional service
- perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard
- identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them in accordance with departmental procedures
- continuously monitor waste for unacceptable materials
- clean area around accidental waste spills following safety standards
- continuously monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime
- clean waste from containers on each disposal trip
- complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports and other documentation
- maintain adherence to productivity and safety standards
- actively participate in the company’s ReSOP program
- perform other duties as assigned
