Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Must maintain customer safety credentials for site entry
- Ability to participate in safety programs and compliance
- Must be physically capable of frequent bending and lifting heavy materials
- Must have a clean driving record as specified
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional overtime
- Valid commercial driver’s license with required endorsements
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license with valid medical examiner’s card, hazmat and airbrake endorsements
- One year of Class A or Class B professional driving experience within the last five years or a diploma from an accredited driving school
- Clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds routinely and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with equipment
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to work occasional overtime if necessary
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures
- Collect and return empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders to plant or branch
- Adhere to all safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide warehouse and dock support as needed
- Manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting customer relationships
- Operate company-provided straight or box truck safely and efficiently
