Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in housekeeping or facility maintenance preferred
  • ability to work overnight shifts primarily on weekends and during special events
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • good interpersonal skills for guest interaction
  • willingness to follow all hotel safety and emergency procedures
  • basic knowledge of maintenance related to pools and spas is a plus

  • knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals

Job Duties

  • Clean all fingerprints off glass doors, registration desk and run vacuum cleaner
  • clean sinks, toilets, mop floors and replenish supplies in public restrooms
  • replenish supplies, take out trash, clean glass doors and tables, and check water and bromine levels in pool and spa area
  • clean mirrors, wipe exercise equipment, take out trash, run vacuum cleaner, and clean glass doors in exercise room
  • water flowers around the hotel exterior
  • clean washer and dryer, tables and mop floor in guest laundry
  • assist with excessive laundry when needed
  • general cleaning of offices, front office areas, associate break room and bathrooms
  • communicate suite status changes with front desk
  • assist Chief Engineer with guest complaints regarding maintenance
  • deliver cribs, roll-away beds and related items to suites and keep logs
  • know and follow hotel emergency procedures
  • accommodate guest special requests courteously
  • answer guest questions about Residence Inn and local facilities
  • ensure pool and spa maintenance is performed according to specifications and regulations
