Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to perform manual cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and buffing floors
- ability to follow safety guidelines and chemical handling procedures
- good communication skills to greet guests and coordinate with team members
- physical capability to stand, walk and lift cleaning equipment during shifts
- reliability and punctuality
- willingness to work under supervision and receive feedback

Job Duties
- Establish, evaluate and perform work on a cleaning and preventive maintenance program for all flooring surfaces of the hotel
- keep abreast of new cleaning procedures, products and technology
- build a team approach among hotel departments for maintaining public space cleanliness
- greet hotel guests in a friendly and warm manner
- stock cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift
- vacuum, wet mop, scrub, buff and properly maintain hotel floors
- abide by regulations set forth by material safety data sheets
- observe and report repair needs for equipment, furniture and building components
- empty public space trash bins, clean lobby and banquet bathrooms, pick up trash on tables and floors
- keep public space cleaning utility closets clean and organized
