Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanics License
  • current FAA Class III Medical Certificate
  • valid AOCF 1A, 2X1 Aircraft Loadmaster AFSC series or equivalent
  • minimum 650 flight hours as fixed wing loadmaster or flight engineer
  • at least one year experience as crewmember instructor
  • minimum three years of loadmaster experience on multi-engine fixed wing aircraft
  • Spanish Level L2, R2 for LATAM programs
  • ability to travel domestically and internationally for 180 days or more annually
  • obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • current FAA Class III Medical Certificate
  • AOCF 1A, 2X1 Aircraft Loadmaster AFSC series or military/commercial equivalent
  • minimum of 650 flight hours as a fixed wing loadmaster or flight engineer
  • minimum one year experience as a crewmember instructor
  • three years of loadmaster experience on multi-engine fixed wing aircraft
  • Spanish Level L2, R2 required for LATAM programs
  • ability to travel domestically and internationally for 180 days or more annually
  • obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • graduate of the US Army Flight Instructor Course preferred
  • experience as a full-time loadmaster and A&P DHC8 mechanic preferred
  • prior loadmaster experience with Pratt and Whitney PT6 engines and Hamilton Standard propeller systems preferred
  • active US DoD Security Clearance preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as a Non Rated Crew Member loadmaster standardization instructor for the DHC-8
  • accomplish all required loadmaster NRCM duties in accordance with policies and procedures
  • instruct, evaluate, and standardize loadmaster personnel according to approved aircrew training programs and regulatory guidance
  • function as a subject matter expert on NRCM issues representing the Chief of Standards
  • conduct training and evaluations of loadmasters, flight instructors, and standardization instructors
  • oversee NRCM standardization programs
  • perform loadmaster duties in line with aircrew training requirements
  • plan and perform airdrop operations
  • plan and perform loading and unloading activities ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo restraint
  • supervise and participate in loading and unloading operations
  • ensure cargo and passengers are properly restrained and secured
  • supervise passengers during routine and emergency operations
  • report any malfunction, maintenance, or safety concerns to the pilot in command
  • perform emergency procedures as required
  • conduct aircraft servicing duties including fueling and configuration changes
  • travel domestically and internationally as required
