Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- guest relations/service experience preferred
- food service sanitation certification
- CPR/1st aid certification preferred
- ability to lift 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
- ability to walk or stand for significant periods
- ability to reach handle feel talk hear and see
- ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate cash register make change total guest checks count total bank prepare cash drops total other charges and understand portion sizes
- basic English writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions balance sheets and vouchers
- sufficient manual dexterity to use knife pick up glassware and bottles scoop ice mix drinks and reach overhead to retrieve stock
- ability to read speak and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
- ability to remember recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
- ability to work and stand in confined space for extended periods
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders
- make and/or present drinks using standard ingredients and recipes practicing prudent portion control
- input orders into register at point of sale and create check for each guest maintaining accountabilities for beverages served
- receive cash from guests make change verify validity of charges record charges ensure vouchers properly executed to balance transactions
- maintain proper and adequate coffee bar setup daily including requisitioning stocking and rotating products
- respond to guest complaints positively and tactfully negotiate compromise and implement solution
- lock up and store beverages food and equipment deposits cash drops secures and balances bank and sign out/in keys
- attend mandatory meetings
- perform general cleaning to adhere to health and safety standards
- keep work area clean and organized
- complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- attend required meetings
- adhere to all company standards related to members guests and associates experience
- follow all safety standards
