Job Requirements

  • Two years of previous customer service experience preferably in a similar setting
  • Alcohol service certification
  • Food handler certification
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and foodservice
  • Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy
  • Ability to enforce alcohol consumption policies
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of previous experience providing customer service preferably in a similar setting with a working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and foodservice
  • Alcohol service and food handler certifications are required
  • Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
  • Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
  • Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
  • Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness
  • Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
  • Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
  • Flexible and able to work varied shifts including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A people person who is flexible with schedule, loves to serve others, and can multitask while ensuring accuracy

Job Duties

  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
  • Embrace service with a story by creating and serving both distinctive and traditional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests
  • Share personal passions and knowledge of food, services, and amenities available to guests
  • Provide a fun and positive environment to orchestrate extraordinary guest experiences
  • Advocate menu offerings, receive food orders at the bar, and ensure accuracy before guest delivery
  • Process payment from customers
  • Clean glasses and bar utensils
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
  • Open and maintain tabs throughout the shift
  • Build rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
