Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree
- 2-5 years of experience
- baptized Catholic
- practicing Catholic
- commitment to parish mission
- familiarity with theology or religious studies
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to manage volunteers
- proficiency with office technology
- ability to work flexible hours including holidays
- Must pass Safe Environment clearance and sexual harassment training
- valid California driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- Baptized member of a Catholic faith community, preferably Presentation
- practicing Catholic adhering to Church teachings in faith and morals
- commitment to parish mission
- experience or knowledge in theology or religious studies
- excellent people skills
- knowledge and experience in creating aesthetic worship environment
- ability to collaborate with ministers and parishioners
- ability to plan, organize and implement liturgical events
- ability to recruit, train and lead volunteers
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- understanding of confidentiality
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to prioritize work independently
- computer literate including ParishSoft and Microsoft Office
- capacity to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- ability to recognize and honor diversity
- Safe Environment clearance
- valid California driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree
Job Duties
- Collaborates with the pastor and other ministers to plan and prepare worship and liturgical programs
- coordinates and administers programs for lectors, Eucharistic ministers, servers, ushers and volunteers
- recruits, trains, schedules, supports and supervises liturgical volunteers
- oversees administration and record keeping of programs
- works with Music Director to ensure appropriate liturgical music
- manages supplies and inventory for worship
- oversees aesthetics, decor and cleanliness of church environment
- maintains knowledge and skills through meetings and workshops
- serves as a resource to other ministers
- prepares and monitors liturgy budget
- coordinates special functions such as funerals, weddings, and Holy Week services
- meets with families to plan funerals
- participates in Ministry Team activities
- adheres to parish safety policies
