Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven culinary experience progressively increasing in responsibility
  • Ability to lead a team and work under pressure
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive culinary experience
  • At least two years in a Sous Chef role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and labor scheduling
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Northern Mexican cuisine preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing and receiving
  • Ensure culinary staff consistently prepare menu items to the highest standards
  • Manage private parties and special events coordination
  • Supervise kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Monitor culinary budgets, labor costs, scheduling, and overtime to optimize productivity
  • Lead and foster a cohesive, professional culinary team
  • Maintain a calm and efficient work environment under pressure
