Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to manage multiple kitchen functions simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive culinary experience preferred
  • At least two years in a Sous Chef capacity
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience managing culinary budgets and inventory
  • Knowledge of Northern Mexican cuisine is a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production and preparation
  • Manage private parties and special events catering
  • Supervise stewarding, purchasing, and receiving processes
  • Ensure culinary staff meet the highest standards for all menu items
  • Lead the kitchen efficiently in the Executive Chef’s absence
  • Monitor and control labor costs, scheduling, and overtime
  • Foster a cohesive team environment and smooth kitchen workflow
