Job Duties
- Manage in-house inventory levels in each department
- exchange carts
- count all linen on carts and replenish to par levels before delivery
- ensure par levels on incoming carts and transport to distribution points
- load inventory on carts for distribution to units
- sign off on unit cart checklist
- record data using tablets or order sheets
- interface professionally with hospital staff including nurses, nurse managers, clinicians, and materials managers
- deliver full clean carts and retrieve used carts for processing
- maintain orderliness and cleanliness of inventory room including dusting and mopping
- handle routine duties and special calls for linen
- communicate with drivers and account representatives regarding special needs and inventory issues
- build and maintain professional relationships representing the company
- report linen shortages to Service Manager and collaborate to resolve
