Job Duties
- Provides patient-centered service, maintaining a friendly, safe environment and responding promptly to customer concerns while modeling service excellence
- uses computer systems, handheld devices, or manual forms to track linen as directed
- stocks, distributes, and inventories clean linens and apparel in compliance with infection-control guidelines
- identifies linen items needing repair or replacement and reports issues to management
- maintains a clean, orderly work area and equipment, including refilling and preparing linen carts and scrub machines
- collects soiled linen for vendor pick-up and verifies cleanliness and serviceability of laundered items before storage
- maintains required logs, records, and linen control procedures, ensuring accurate counts and proper distribution to departments
- adheres to UH attendance, compliance, and regulatory standards, performing additional related duties as assigned
