Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- minimum one year housekeeping or linen room experience preferred
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- availability to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts
- effective communication skills including the ability to use a 2-way radio
- may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license according to tribal gaming commission
Job Qualifications

- familiarity with washing, drying, ironing, and folding techniques including stain removal and fabric preservation
- attention to detail
Job Duties
- Counts and assemble laundered items on cart or linen truck
- record amount of linen and uniforms to fill requisition and transport items to floors
- sort and store laundered items on shelves after verifying quantity and type
- examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability
- conduct inventory to identify items for replacement
- keep linen room in clean and orderly condition
- prepare dirty linens for return to laundry facility
- segregate, count and record number of soiled items for repair or laundry
- place items in appropriate containers or shelves
- assist with loading linens into transportation vehicle utilizing tie down straps
- weigh and scale laundry to avoid overloading washers
- load laundry into washers utilizing module system to set detergent type
- select appropriate drying temperatures depending on linen type
- wipe washers and clean dryer lint traps
- ensure shelves containing cleaning supplies are stocked, labeled and maintained
- perform minor housekeeping duties in laundry area
- clean areas including offices as needed using carpet extraction, floor burnisher, floor scrubber
- utilize 2-way radio for communication
- perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department
