Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum one year housekeeping or linen room experience preferred
- familiarity with washing, drying, ironing, and folding techniques including stain removal and fabric preservation
- attention to detail
- ability to utilize 2-way radio for communication
- strength to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 40 pounds occasionally
- ability to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- hearing and speech sufficient for communication in person, via videoconference and over the telephone
- visual acuity to perform detailed inspections
- mobility to move safely in office environment
- endurance to sit, walk and stand for extended periods
- ability to comply with San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission requirements including obtaining a gaming license if necessary
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Count and assemble laundered items on cart or linen truck
- record amount of linen and uniforms to fill requisition and transport items to floors
- sort and store laundered items on shelves after verifying quantity and type and examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability
- conduct inventory to identify items for replacement
- keep linen room in clean and orderly condition
- prepare dirty linens for return to laundry facility
- segregate, count and record number of soiled items for repair or laundry and place items in appropriate containers or shelves
- assist with loading the linens into the transportation vehicle utilizing tie down straps to ensure load is secure
- weigh and scale laundry to avoid overloading washers
- load laundry into washers utilizing module system to set detergent type for specific load to be laundered
- select appropriate drying temperatures depending on linen type
- wipe all washers to ensure soap does not accumulate
- clean all dryer lint traps and wipe off outside with a damp cloth
- ensure shelves containing cleaning supplies are stocked, labeled and maintained to department standard
- perform minor housekeeping duties as needed in laundry area
- clean areas including offices as needed, carpet extraction, floor burnisher, floor scrubber
- utilize 2-way radio for communication purposes
- perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department
