Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a line or prep cook in a restaurant catering or dietary department
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a line or prep cook or similar role in a restaurant catering or dietary department
  • Sushi and or sashimi skills a plus
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of menu planning and recipe execution
  • Excellent knife skills for cutting chopping and slicing ingredients
  • Team player with good communication skills to work effectively with the kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including washing chopping and storing food items
  • Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to recipes
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes sanitizing surfaces and taking out trash
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food production
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations
