Job Requirements

At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
Basic math skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English

Job Duties

Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
Uphold safety standards and report injuries on time
Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
Assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory management
Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and accurately recorded
Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
Properly label, date, rotate and store all products
Maintain a clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising area
Effectively communicate with management, Guests and Team Members to promptly address issues and inquiries
Utilize the point-of-sale system to enter guest information, take-out orders and complete sales
Bag orders efficiently and neatly preserving item quality and presentation
Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
Secure the building at closing including locking the safe, doors, and setting the alarm
Perform other job-related duties as necessary
