Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills required

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of mis-en-place is prepared for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries
  • Assist Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory management
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and accurately recorded for team members
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling, shelf life and sanitation compliance
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and presentability in production and merchandising areas
  • Communicate effectively with management, guests and team members
  • Utilize POS system to accurately enter guest information and complete sales
  • Bag take-out orders efficiently, preserving quality and presentation
  • Set the tone and assume responsibility for shift results
  • Secure the building at closing, ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
