Job Requirements

At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience preferred
Basic math skills required
Excellent communication skills required
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
Assist Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
Ensure meal and rest breaks for Team Members are available and accurately recorded
Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
Maintain clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising area
Effectively communicate with management and assist in responding to Guests and Team Members needs
Utilize POS system to accurately enter guest information and complete sales
Bag take-out orders efficiently preserving quality and presentation
Set tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
Secure the building at closing ensuring safe is locked, doors are secured and alarm is set
Perform other job-related duties as necessary
