Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries promptly
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as managing purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and accurately record break times
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
  • Maintain production and merchandising areas clean, safe and presentable
  • Effectively communicate with management and assist with guest and team member needs and inquiries
  • Utilize point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest information and complete orders
  • Bag orders efficiently preserving item quality and presentation
  • Set the tone for the shift and take responsibility for shift outcomes
  • Secure the building especially at closing, ensuring doors and alarm are properly set
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
