Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 21 years of age
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • Commitment to core values and guest service
  • Ability to manage stress and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries timely
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and accurately record break times
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store products ensuring food handling and sanitation compliance
  • Maintain clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising areas
  • Effectively communicate with management and respond to Guests’ and Team Members’ needs
  • Utilize POS system to accurately enter guest orders and complete sales
  • Bag orders efficiently preserving quality and presentation
  • Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for results
  • Secure the building at closing and perform other job-related duties as necessary
