Job Requirements

  • at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience preferred

Job Duties

  • apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time, safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • assist in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of kitchen items
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and accurately recorded
  • assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store all products for food handling and sanitation compliance
  • ensure production and merchandising area is clean, safe and presentable
  • communicate effectively with management, guests and team members to address needs and inquiries
  • utilize the POS system to enter guest’s information and complete sales
  • bag orders efficiently preserving quality and presentation
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • secure the building especially at closing by locking doors, safe and setting alarms
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
