Job Requirements
- at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
- basic math skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to read, write and communicate verbally in english
- ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods
- ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- willingness to work flexible hours

Job Duties
- apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
- monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
- ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
- supports a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
- safely uses all kitchen equipment and applies advanced knife skills
- assist management in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of kitchen items
- ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and accurately recorded
- assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
- properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure compliance
- ensure production and merchandising area is clean, safe and presentable
- communicate effectively with management, guests and team members and respond to needs and inquiries
- utilize the point-of-sale system to enter guest information and take-out orders
- bag orders efficiently and neatly preserving item quality
- set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
- secure the building, lock the safe, all doors and set the alarm at closing
- perform other job-related duties as necessary
