Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years food service or hospitality industry experience preferred

Job Duties

  • apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • uphold safety standards and report injuries promptly
  • safely use all kitchen equipment and ensure it is properly cleaned, maintained and functioning
  • assist Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory management
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and duty free
  • assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store products for food safety compliance
  • maintain production and merchandising area cleanliness and presentation
  • communicate effectively with management, guests and team members
  • utilize POS system to enter guest information and complete sales
  • package orders efficiently preserving item quality
  • set the tone and assume responsibility for shift results
  • secure the building and alarm system at closing
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
