Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
- monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
- ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
- uphold safety standards and report injuries promptly
- safely use all kitchen equipment and ensure it is properly cleaned, maintained and functioning
- assist Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory management
- ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and duty free
- assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
- properly label, date, rotate and store products for food safety compliance
- maintain production and merchandising area cleanliness and presentation
- communicate effectively with management, guests and team members
- utilize POS system to enter guest information and complete sales
- package orders efficiently preserving item quality
- set the tone and assume responsibility for shift results
- secure the building and alarm system at closing
- perform other job-related duties as necessary
