Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and are duty free
  • assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store all products
  • ensure production and merchandising area is clean, safe, and presentable
  • effectively communicate with management and assist with guest and team member needs and inquiries
  • utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest information and complete sales
  • bag orders efficiently and neatly preserving item integrity and quality
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • secure the building at closing ensuring safe is locked, doors locked, and alarm set
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
