Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries
  • assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and accurately record meal periods
  • assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
  • ensure production and merchandising area is clean, safe, and presentable
  • communicate effectively with management, Guests and Team Members to promptly address issues
  • utilize the POS system to accurately enter guest and take-out order information and complete sales
  • bag orders efficiently and neatly to preserve quality and presentation
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for its results
  • secure the building at closing by locking safe, doors and setting alarm
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
