Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, maintained and functioning
  • Assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to team members and accurately record break times
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure proper food handling and compliance
  • Ensure production and merchandising area is clean, safe and presentable
  • Communicate effectively with management and assist with guest and team member inquiries
  • Utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest information and process orders
  • Bag orders efficiently and neatly preserving quality and presentation
  • Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • Secure the building at closing, ensuring the safe is locked, doors are locked and alarm is set
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
