Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • at least 21 years of age
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • basic math skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage stress in a high-volume environment
  • ability to work collaboratively
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • must comply with safety standards and sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries
  • assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing and inventory of kitchen items
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and accurately recorded
  • assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store all products
  • ensure production and merchandising areas are clean, safe and presentable
  • effectively communicate with management and assist with Guests’ and Team Members’ needs and inquiries
  • utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest orders
  • bag orders efficiently and neatly
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • secure the building at closing and perform other job-related duties as necessary
