Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience preferred
  • basic math skills required
  • excellent communication skills required
  • ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • ability to work in a high-volume environment and manage stress
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries promptly
  • assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs including purchasing, receiving, and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and accurately recorded
  • assist in establishing par levels and conduct inventories of finished products and ingredients
  • properly label, date, rotate, and store all products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
  • maintain production and merchandising area cleanliness and safety
  • effectively communicate with management, guests, and team members to address needs and resolve issues
  • utilize the point-of-sale system to enter guest information and complete sales
  • efficiently bag orders preserving quality and presentation
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • secure the building at closing including locking doors and setting alarms
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
