Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience preferred
  • basic math skills required
  • excellent communication skills required
  • ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • commitment to core values
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to safely use kitchen equipment
  • ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • excellent interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards according to policies
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and that sufficient high-quality mis-en-place is ready for next shift
  • uphold safety standards and report injuries promptly
  • use kitchen equipment safely and maintain it properly
  • assist Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists, and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks for Team Members are provided and accurately recorded
  • establish proper par levels and conduct inventory
  • properly label, date, rotate and store products
  • maintain clean, safe, and presentable production and merchandising areas
  • communicate effectively with management, Guests, and Team Members
  • utilize point-of-sale system accurately for orders and sales
  • bag orders efficiently and neatly, preserving item integrity
  • set the tone for the shift and take responsibility for shift results
  • secure building at closing by locking safe, doors, and setting alarm
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
