- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 21 years of age
- 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English

Job Duties
- Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
- Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
- Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
- Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
- Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
- Assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory management
- Ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and recorded properly
- Assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories to ensure adequate stock
- Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to maximize shelf life and sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and presentation of production and merchandising areas
- Communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members to address needs and resolve issues
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process guest information and orders
- Bag orders efficiently and neatly to preserve item quality and presentation
- Set the tone for the shift and take responsibility for its results
- Secure the building at closing including locking doors and setting alarms
- Perform other related duties as required
