  • At least 21 years of age
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs as well as purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory management
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and recorded properly
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories to ensure adequate stock
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to maximize shelf life and sanitation
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and presentation of production and merchandising areas
  • Communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members to address needs and resolve issues
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process guest information and orders
  • Bag orders efficiently and neatly to preserve item quality and presentation
  • Set the tone for the shift and take responsibility for its results
  • Secure the building at closing including locking doors and setting alarms
  • Perform other related duties as required
