Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • apply thorough knowledge of culinary techniques to execute menu items consistently
  • monitor meals for appearance, quality, portion control, and temperature
  • ensure proper station setup and sufficient mis-en-place for next shift
  • uphold safety standards and report injuries
  • use kitchen equipment safely and maintain its cleanliness and functionality
  • assist Chef and Sous Chef with food and labor cost control, purchasing, receiving, and inventory
  • ensure team members take meal and rest breaks and accurately record break times
  • establish proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • label, date, rotate, and store products for food safety
  • maintain clean, safe, and presentable production and merchandising areas
  • communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members
  • utilize POS system for order entry and sales completion
  • bag orders neatly preserving quality and presentation
  • set tone and take responsibility for shift results
  • secure building at closing including locking doors and setting alarm
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
