Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience preferred
  • basic math skills required
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • ability to work in high-volume environment
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • uphold safety standards and report injuries on time
  • safely use kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and accurately recorded
  • assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store products to ensure proper food handling and sanitation compliance
  • maintain clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising areas
  • communicate effectively with management and respond to guest and team member needs
  • utilize point-of-sale system to enter guest information and complete sales
  • bag orders neatly preserving item integrity
  • set the tone for the shift and assume shift responsibility
  • secure the building at closing
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
