Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is prepared for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries promptly
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs and managing purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and accurately record break times
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling, shelf life and sanitation compliance
  • Ensure production and merchandising areas are clean, safe and presentable
  • Communicate effectively with management and assist with Guests' and Team Members' needs and inquiries
  • Utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest information and take-out orders
  • Bag orders efficiently preserving the integrity and quality of items
  • Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • Secure the building at closing, ensuring all doors and the safe are locked and alarm is set
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
