Job Duties
- Apply thorough knowledge and application of culinary techniques to execute menu items consistently
- monitor meals for appearance, quality, portion, and temperature standards
- ensure stations are properly set with sufficient mis-en-place for shifts
- uphold safety standards and report injuries promptly
- use kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness and functionality
- assist Chef and Sous Chef in managing food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, and inventory
- ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and recorded accurately
- establish par levels and conduct inventory of products and ingredients
- label, date, rotate, and store products properly for food safety and sanitation
- maintain clean, safe, and presentable production and merchandising areas
- communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members
- enter orders accurately using POS system
- bag orders neatly preserving quality
- set the tone for shift and assume responsibility for outcomes
- secure the building at closing
- perform other job-related duties as necessary
