Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge and application of culinary techniques to execute menu items consistently
  • monitor meals for appearance, quality, portion, and temperature standards
  • ensure stations are properly set with sufficient mis-en-place for shifts
  • uphold safety standards and report injuries promptly
  • use kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness and functionality
  • assist Chef and Sous Chef in managing food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are provided and recorded accurately
  • establish par levels and conduct inventory of products and ingredients
  • label, date, rotate, and store products properly for food safety and sanitation
  • maintain clean, safe, and presentable production and merchandising areas
  • communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members
  • enter orders accurately using POS system
  • bag orders neatly preserving quality
  • set the tone for shift and assume responsibility for outcomes
  • secure the building at closing
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
