Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum age of 21 years
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • basic math skills required
  • excellent communication skills in English required
  • ability to work under stress and in high-volume environments
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks and use kitchen tools
  • commitment to safety and sanitation protocols

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient mis-en-place is prepared for the next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, inventories
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are made available and recorded
  • assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food safety
  • maintain production and merchandising area clean, safe and presentable
  • communicate effectively with management, guests and team members
  • use the point-of-sale system to accurately enter orders
  • bag orders efficiently and neatly
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • secure the building at closing and perform other job-related duties
