Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage stress and work in a high-volume environment
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Ability to work under time constraints and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanor

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
- Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
- Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
- Supports a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
- Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
- Assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of kitchen items
- Ensure meal and rest breaks are available to team members and accurately record all breaks
- Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventory checks
- Properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
- Ensure production and merchandising areas are clean, safe, and presentable
- Communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members to address needs and inquiries promptly
- Utilize point-of-sale system to enter guest information, process take-out orders and complete sales
- Bag orders efficiently preserving item quality and presentation
- Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift outcomes
- Secure the building at closing, ensuring all doors and safe are locked and the alarm is set
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary
