Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Uphold safety standards by reporting injuries on time, safely use kitchen equipment and maintain equipment cleanliness
  • Assist Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving and inventory of kitchen items
  • Ensure team members take meal and rest breaks, accurately record break times and ensure breaks are duty free
  • Establish proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • Properly label, date, rotate and store products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
  • Maintain clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising areas
  • Communicate effectively with management, guests and team members to resolve issues
  • Utilize POS system to accurately enter guest information and complete sales
  • Bag orders efficiently ensuring quality and presentation
  • Set the tone and assume responsibility for shift results
  • Secure the building at closing
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
