Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read write and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to manage stress in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to problem solve

Job Duties

  • Apply thorough knowledge understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • Monitor all meals being served for appearance quality standards portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • Ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • Support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • Safely use all kitchen equipment and apply advanced knife skills
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned maintained and functioning
  • Assist the Chef and the Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs purchasing receiving purveyor lists and inventory of kitchen items
  • Ensure meal and rest breaks are made available to Team Members and accurately record meal breaks
  • Assist in establishing proper par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • Properly label date rotate and store all products to ensure proper food handling and sanitation compliance
  • Maintain a clean safe and presentable production and merchandising area
  • Communicate effectively with management and respond to Guests and Team Members inquiries to satisfaction
  • Utilize the POS system to accurately enter guests information take-out orders and complete sales
  • Bag orders efficiently and neatly preserving item integrity
  • Set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for shift results
  • Secure the building at closing ensuring safe locked doors and alarm system
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
