Job Duties

  • Assists in preparing meal ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing fruits and vegetables and marinating meats
  • Prepares soups, salads, and sauces as instructed by the head chef
  • Plates and garnishes meal items in accordance with instructions
  • Cooks menu items following head chef guidance
  • Supervises the work of line cooks to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Attends pre-shift meetings to review and communicate service-related information
  • Ensures cooking stations are stocked with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Cleans and disinfects cooking stations and kitchen surfaces before and after shifts
  • Trains other line cooks as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
