Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid Class A commercial driver's license
- valid medical card
- hazardous materials endorsement or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- prior CDL driving experience
- ability to pass all pre-employment screenings
- physical ability to perform job duties
- reliable communication skills

Job Duties
- Prioritize safety by operating in full compliance with all HSE policies and procedures
- inspect vehicles by performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer, reporting any defects promptly
- drive efficiently by operating various trucks and equipment with precision, adhering to state, federal, and company regulations
- maintain accurate driver and maintenance logs, both electronically and manually, in compliance with regulations
- deliver and pick up freight with exceptional customer service
- stay up to date on multi-state DOT regulations and multi-Canadian province regulations
- spot trailers at the warehouse, chock wheels, and assist with loading and unloading when necessary
- keep in regular contact with the terminal dispatcher for instructions and to report any safety hazards or incidents
- perform emergency roadside repairs if required
- ensure cargo is secured in compliance with FMCSRs and company policies
- keep trailer, cab, windows, and mirrors clean and in top condition
- review paperwork for discrepancies, ensure proper placarding for HAZMAT hauls, and submit reports
- perform freight pick-up and delivery between terminals
- break sets, hook own sets if needed, and park trailers in designated areas
- conduct general vehicle maintenance as necessary
