Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • capacity to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments
  • teamwork and collaboration skills
  • familiarity with Japanese cuisine is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Uchiko's standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
  • safely operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, and knives
  • coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
  • assist in restocking inventory and managing supplies
  • respond efficiently to customer and team needs in a fast-paced environment
