Job Requirements
- must be 16 years of age or older
- possess or be willing to obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
- ability to stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
- able to work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
- able to lift and carry 30 plus pounds
- capable of working in hot and humid environments
- good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- self-motivation and time management skills
- basic kitchen terminology and knife skills knowledge
Job Qualifications
- must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card or willing to obtain one
- positive attitude and willingness to learn
- basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
- ability to multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
- self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
Job Duties
- adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
- extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
- accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
- monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
- operate kitchen equipment safely
- proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
- promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
- communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
- complete all opening, closing, and side duties
- assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
- work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
