Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a line cook in a busy restaurant setting
  • Ability to work day and night shifts
  • Weekend availability
  • Capability to stand for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift and move kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Commitment to following health and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Follow proper dress code and ServSafe/health department guidelines
  • Perform line checks and maintain temperature logs
  • Prepare and cook food items according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Ensure food is cooked to correct temperature and presented appealingly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen team to complete all orders on time
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Assume responsibility for the quality of products served
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations
  • Maintain cleanliness of work station and kitchen equipment
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Assist in food prep and dishwashing during off-peak times
  • Open and/or close the kitchen properly following checklists
  • Help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen manager or manager-on-duty
