Job Requirements

  • Previous cook or prep experience preferred (Mediterranean cuisine is a plus)
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of safe food-handling
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
  • Must be available for weekends and peak hours

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a cook in food service
  • Experience with Mediterranean cuisine preferred
  • Strong knife skills
  • Knowledge of safe food-handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook Mediterranean dishes including shawarma, kabob, falafel, rice, salads, dips, and sides
  • Follow recipes, portion standards, and plating requirements to ensure consistency
  • Marinate meats and prepare daily batches of garlic sauce, hummus, rice, and dressings
  • Grill, saute, fry, and assemble plates according to restaurant standards
  • Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets quality, taste, and presentation expectations
  • Chop vegetables, herbs, and toppings with precision and care
  • Portion ingredients for the line and maintain daily par levels
  • Label, date, and store ingredients according to health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with receiving and organizing stock deliveries
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation at all times
  • Follow all food safety regulations (ServSafe standards)
  • Support dishwashing and cleaning duties when needed
  • Communicate clearly with the team to ensure smooth service
  • Monitor food temperatures, equipment usage, and prep levels throughout the day
