Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • certification in food safety required
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Handle high volume shifts efficiently and effectively
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • familiar with industry's best practices
  • certified in food safety
  • aptitude for multi-tasking
  • able to stand for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • stock inventory appropriately
  • ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
