Job Requirements

  • Food handler certification
  • 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced food service or related role
  • Ability to work evenings Thursday through Sunday
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to work in variable outdoor weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a line cook, cashier, or fast-paced food service role (food truck experience a plus)
  • Friendly and outgoing personality - comfortable interacting with guests while multitasking in a small space
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in tight spaces, variable weather, and high-volume environments
  • Dependable and punctual
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Love for seafood and Cajun flavors

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook seafood and menu items according to Smashin Crab recipes and standards
  • Operate and maintain food truck cooking stations including fry, boil, sauté, and expo/plating
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently through the service window
  • Resolve guest issues or concerns quickly and professionally with a positive attitude
  • Process payments via POS system and handle all transactions with proper cash-handling procedures
  • Package and bag orders neatly for takeout or event service, ensuring all items are complete and labeled correctly
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization inside the mobile kitchen and service areas
  • Support setup, breakdown, and restocking of the truck before and after service
  • Follow all health, safety, and mobile food unit compliance standards
  • Perform end-of-shift cleaning and closing duties, including equipment checks and waste disposal
  • Maintain an active Food Handler Certification (required)
