Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate required
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close and distance vision
  • Ability to frequently walk and stand, sometimes for extended distances
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms in any direction

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Degree in or working towards a degree in culinary arts, hospitality, or restaurant management highly desired
  • Previous work experience in food service is a plus
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef and kitchen team with daily tasks
  • Prepare and cook food for the café and catered events
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and pans
  • Operate dish machines according to company and manufacturer specifications
  • Handle trash segregation and disposal
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Assist in event setup
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Follow instructions from the Chef or Line Cooks
  • Clean food stations and manage leftover food
  • Perform other duties as assigned
